An Intern’s role is to provide support for Directors and staff in the coordination of various LifeLight tasks that pertain to the area of the Intern’s field of study. The Intern must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision. Interns will report to their respective area Director based on the degree emphasis. 

LifeLight will provide:


  • Proper training and supervision in designated field of study as it relates to LifeLight as an organization
  • A well rounded scope of all aspects of the organization, including but not limited to:
  • -Business and non-profit management
  • -Event support
  • -Development and fundraising
  • -Marketing, social media and creative design
  • -Public relations and volunteer management
  • -Finance
  • -Information technology
  • A Christ-centered work environment based on a spiritual code of ethics
  • Diverse exposure to all areas of LifeLight ministries, including Festivals, Tours, Missions and Outreach events
  • Adequate supervision and documentation for University/College credit if applicable


Intern will:


  • Provide a professional resume with recommendations, including at least one pastoral reference
  • Participate in one or more interviews for the position and demonstrate motivation and commitment to the ministry
  • Clearly communicate goals and expected outcome of internship as well as future goals and visions
  • Be highly self-motivated and productive
  • Be available for whatever tasks are needed on a day-to-day basis, which can include answering phone calls and emails from the general public
  • Be able to learn, research and retain information on all aspects of the ministry and relay to general public as needed
  • Be flexible!
  • Adhere to the organization’s Statement of Faith, Code of Ethics and standards of Moral Conduct as outlined in application and interview process


Internship Opportunities Available:


  • Creative Team: including but not limited to social media, marketing, graphic design, videography and editing
  • Information Technology: including but not limited to database management, computer maintenance, technological troubleshooting, php, mySQL and Google Earth programming
  • Finance: including but not limited to quickbooks data entry, financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Development: including but not limited to fundraising, cold calling, thank you communication, donor appreciation, and donor event assistance
  • Missions & Global Festival Support: assist with various tasks related to preparation including but not limited to project assistance, event promotion, event research, itinerary planning, team contact and follow-up, and meeting planning.
  • Event Support: assist with various tasks related to event operations including but not limited to project assistance, volunteer recruitment/correspondence, event promotion, merchandising, hospitality, attendee relations, ministry relations, event research and community relations.


LifeLight Team Member:


As with all support staff, the Intern will execute assigned tasks efficiently and independently and be involved with implementing ministry decisions made by Directors.  All support staff are expected to participate in regular staff meetings and make progress reports on assigned projects.  As support staff, the Intern position is a part to full-time volunteer position. He/she must be willing to work occasional nights/weekends as needed to support ministry events.

  • All interns, regardless of the area in which they serve will be well-rounded and experienced in Outreach and Event Planning by the end of their internship term
  • Longer term internships are preferred
